#1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover returns with a new heart-wrenching love story. When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.Never ask about the past. Don’t expect a future. They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.Hearts get infiltrated. Promises get broken. Rules get shattered.Love gets ugly.

10728197If you get on goodreads right now you will see this book has like a 4.47 avg. with over 13,000 ratings. I mean this book has been pimped more than a pair of 70-year old prostitutes in Amsterdam.

This book honestly had taken over all of my social media. So I knew I had to read it, after all it was by the Queen Colleen Hoover. I to start by saying I read this book twice. Once because again, I felt like if I didn’t I was no longer welcome in the book world. After the first read through I honestly enjoyed. I was on cloud nine.

But after a few days I went back I realized that somethings just weren’t okay.

Miles: You are a pilot. Shakespeare is a poet and I’m a book lover. Life works out pretty well when we all try and stay in our spheres. Why in the hell Ms. Hoover thought his words should be written in poetry type of style is beyond me. In my mind you can’t want to distance yourself from love and then try to write in the language of love at the same time. It just feels odd.

Tate: Doesn’t mind being a door mat. (Which drives me crazy because I feel like I read about the same heroine a thousand times already. Anastasia Steele 50shades, Abby Abernathy Beautiful Disaster, blah blah). Really at this point we might as well skip writing heroines all together and just make the women mindless sex dolls.

“Oh, he so hot let me ignore all of the crap he does because I haven’t had sex like this in forever.” Or “Oh, he’s such an ass but I know if I just love him hard enough even when he pushes me away then it will all be okay”

Throw in a little angst here and a little alpha smirks there bada boom bada bing you have the next great love story.

AND I KEEP READING THEM!

I don’t know whats up with me. But even with everything I just stated I couldn’t bring myself to hate this book. In my head there were parts that I really did enjoy.

“Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.”

“Love isn’t always pretty. Sometimes you spend all your time hoping it’ll eventually be something different. Something better. Then, before you know it, you’re back to square one, and you lost your heart somewhere along the way.”

“I find myself comparing the feel and smell of brand-new rain to his kiss. His kiss is much, much better.”

tumblr_llra2wusdM1qb84lwo1_500

To her credit, Ms. Hoover can write. There is no doubt in my mind and I know I will still by any other books from her.

WHAT I LIKED BEFORE:

I think I liked it so much the first go around because it reminded me of my own life. I could understand being like Tate….I knew that battle with yourself over being in a relationship with someone who just wasn’t able to be in one. But again I wanted Tate, Idk, grown? Because stronger? I felt like I was waiting fro a climax that never came.

As you all can see I’m totally confused when it comes to this book.

Tomorrow I could read it again and fall in or out of love with it all over again. But that is to Ms.Hoovers credit.

For now 3.5 stars.

Ps. That .5 is for the cover alone! It is AMAZING! It’s a true work of art and looks totally real. 5Stars to the Designer.

I'm coming for you. The whispers haunt her dreams and fill her waking hours with dread. Something odd is happening. Something...unnatural. Possession of the living. Resurrection of the dead. And Natalie Stewart is caught right in the middle. Jonathon, the one person she thought she could trust, has become a double agent for the dark side. But he plays the part so well, Natalie has to wonder just how much he's really acting. She can't even see what it is she's fighting. But the cost of losing her heart, her sanity...her soul. Praise for Darker Still, an Indie Next Selection:

Really enjoyed this book. Even better than Darker Still

The Twisted Tragedy of Miss Natalie Stewart find Natalie and Jonathan Whitby, Lord Denbury on the run. Natalie rescued Denbury from a spell that had his soul trapped in a painting while his body, inhabited by a demon, roamed the streets of late 19th Century New York City murdering young girls. There we have two gothic and steampunk progenitors: Oscar Wilde’s A Portrait of Dorian Gray and Robert Lewis Stevenson’s The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

In this book, we get an added dose of Frankenstein as it turns out that Jonathan, as well as his mother and father, was the victim of secret group called “The Society” who seem to have several agenda including resurrecting the dead.

The main interest in the novel for me is how Natalie is developing as a character. A former voluntary mute, Natalie comes to more and more realize her strength and resourcefulness as she along with the clairvoyant Mrs. Northe and her friend deaf and dumb friend Rachel, who is in touch with the ghosts of the victims of the Society, uncover the group’s plot and once again face down the demon who possessed Jonathan’s body.

The plot is fast paced. The characters are multidimensional, the good not being wholly good and the bad, except for the demon, not wholly bad. Natalie and Jonathan have their moments of jealousy and even petty fights. The men involved in the Society’s ressurection work are motivated by their grief for past loved ones. There are others with worse agendas, but they are only visited and, I assume, will play a role in future books in the series.

Recommended for horror, fantasy, steampunk, and gothic romance lovers.

The New York Times bestselling novel about a young man practicing magic in the real world Like everyone else, precocious high school senior Quentin Coldwater assumes that magic isn't real, until he finds himself admitted to a very secretive and exclusive college of magic in upstate New York. There he indulges in joys of college-friendship, love, sex, and booze- and receives a rigorous education in modern sorcery. But magic doesn't bring the happiness and adventure Quentin thought it would. After graduation, he and his friends stumble upon a secret that sets them on a remarkable journey that may just fulfill Quentin's yearning. But their journey turns out to be darker and more dangerous than they'd imagined. Psychologically piercing and dazzlingly inventive, The Magicians, the prequel to the New York Times bestselling book The Magician King and the #1 bestseller The Magician's Land, is an enthralling coming-of-age tale about magic practiced in the real world-where good and evil aren't black and white, and power comes at a terrible price.

I did not read all of Harry Potter, although I know it is a wonderful series and loved by many. Why is that important during this review? I’m glad you asked.

The Magicians had a distinct feel of a crossbreed of Harry Potter and Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, but was written with adult situations intermingled. If the book had perhaps stuck with the innocence of children just budding from childhood to adulthood without the added profanity and adult situations it may have been more enjoyable to me.

Unfortunately this read like a bad fan fiction. Don’t get me wrong I have no problem with fan fiction, obscenities or adult situations. However, these things just didn’t seem to work in this “mash up.”

I have a dark sense of humor and laughed at all the wrong things in this book. So it was not completely a failed attempt at being entertaining. I think the author may have not been sure who he wanted to speak to with the book. It is for that reason that I would be hard pressed to tell others that they should read this book. If I can’t see that a story would fit in with what I’ve been told is interesting to them I can’t in good conscience recommend something that doesn’t fit.

I know this is a harsh review, and this is by far not the worst book I’ve read, but it’s up there. If I could reach out and speak to the author I would sit him down and say “who are you trying to relate to? If you figure that out and stay on course your end product will hit its mark much better.”

I want to be an author and my one hope in succeeding would be that people enjoy my writing and want to share it with others. A million one off buys of a product does generate money, but a million buys that recommend to 10 friends each to buy it too really makes solid financial sense.

Again this book was not a lost cause, but it’s not easily recommended as mainstream material….

The New York Times bestselling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player starts a brand new story of friends, love, and lust with Book One of the Wild Seasons series.One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation—and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out—Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume—her sweet, filthy fling—to France for the summer and just…play. When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away.

I love the ‘Beautiful Bastard’ series! I have read most of the books two or three times. Because of that I was ABSOLUTELY sure I would love ‘Sweet Filthy Boy’. Well…I didn’t. It is…an okay read. If I have to rate the plot I would give it 2-2.5 stars. However, I would give 5 stars for the hotness and the sweet & filthy French boy- Ansel!

Mia Holland has allowed herself one last weekend of fun and irresponsibility. She is expected to act like an adult and to take all the decisions in her life based on the high expectations of her family. She is ready to let go even if it is only for few days! And when she locks eyes with a gorgeous guy in a club- everything changes. He is hot, he is French, he is an attorney….he is exactly what Mia needs!

“I want to love all of my life as much as I love this night.”

After a seriously wild night…lots of alcohol and lost memories…Mia, Ansel and their friends are (let’s say) in a difficult position. Everything leads to Ansel inviting Mia to spend the summer in Paris with him. And she agrees…What follows is an adventure…for both of them. They act impulsive but sometimes in life…you just have to risk it all in order to find true love and happiness. And also…to find yourself.

“Life is built of these little horrible moments and the giant expanses of awesome in between.”

Okay…so why I didn’t love it? Well…first of all I don’t think the story was believable. Most of the time during reading I was thinking: ‘Oh…come on…this will never happen.’ It’s too much like a fairy tale for me.

Second issue: from 40% to 70% nothing actually happened. I was waiting and waiting…and nothing! There was no development. Okay, I admit there were some seriously steamy parts…but they were not enough…I needed more story! And that is why I felt the end a little bit rushed. Other than that….the story was okay. The ‘tour’ around Paris is really nice. And like I said: I LOVED Ansel! He is so dreamy <3 lol

I am not sure I will read the second book but probably I will. ;)

You know why I picked up this book don’t you? I mean just look at that cover! That TITLE! I was so ready for this book. I didn’t read any reviews because I didn’t want any spoilers. However, I feel cheated…I’m so mad at myself for wasting money on a PAPERBACK copy of this when I already have NINE versions of this no my book shelf already.

You’ve heard of The Bermuda Triangle right? Well I’ve come to the conclusion that there is sort of the same going on in dystopian novels.

MYSTERIES OF THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE

I get that a “A dystopia is a community or society that is in some important way undesirable or frightening.” But the problem is that it’s all been done before!

Any author that tries to jump into this ring either makes their book just like everything else OR it makes no bloody sense AT ALL.  The Murder Complex (such a cool name by the way) was just a mash up of every other dystopian novel I’ve already ready.

The government is corrupt.

The heroine is strong but still just a hurt puppy looking for love in an unjust world.

The Hero has issues with his status in this world but WAIT there is a twist he actually dreams of our leading lady BEFORE he met her.

Blah Blah blah Killing.

Blah Blah blah Running way.

Blah Blah blah we aren’t going to make it everything is against us.

Blah Blah blah were in love.

Blah blah blah oh we made but just my the skin of our teeth! What happens next? Find out in book 2.

The End.

Sigh.

tumblr_musa92Bx5b1sgl0ajo1_500

I think it’s time we walk away from this genre for now. Honestly I think we’ve sucked out as much as we possibly can for now. There was nothing worth noting or point out in this book.

The reason why I’m giving it two stars is because one 1. The writing wasn’t bad and two because I don’t think it’s bad enough for one star. The fault of this book is that it’s noting special. Maybe if you’ve NEVER read anything in this genre then this will be an amazing read for you. But if you have skip it there is nothing to see here folks.

As a half-breed vampire, Ella Grey’s life sucks. She does her best to pass the time killing demons and secretly admiring her Shadow Hunter partner, Micah. He’s hot, dangerous and knows it. He’d be just Ella’s type if he weren’t likely to kill her the moment she put a toe out of line.

A chance encounter with a succubus changes everything. From the second the succubus’s spell washes over them, Ella and Micah are helpless to keep their hands off one another. The sex, when it’s not leaving them on the verge of death, is earth shattering and for the first time in ages Ella is connected with someone on a level she’d feared lost forever. But a dangerous prophecy has been set into motion, and if Ella’s not careful it’ll pull her straight from Micah’s arms and into the deepest bowels of the underworld.

4 HOT/Burning Stars!!!

Dark Cravings is one of the hottest books I have ever read. But it is also so much more than just steamy scenes and a delicious alpha male…the story is very interesting and different.

“The Vampire Queen and the Demon Son…”

Ella is a half-breed vampire. She wasn’t born like this. Ella was turned by the ex-lover, Julian, without her permission. So because of that the last few years of her life were full with struggles. As her ex turned her, he is now her ‘sire’ and they are (sort of) bonded- he can access her thoughts and (sometimes) control her emotions. But Ella is stronger and manages to keep Julian at a save distance. She absolutely hates him. Another person she is constantly being irritated by is her partner- Micah. But with him…it is a little bit different. ;)

They both work for the Shadow Agency and are both ‘hunters’. One night they encounter a female demon and she puts a spell on them. Then everything changes. Lies, secrets, a prophesy…Micah and Ella’s lives will never be the same.

“Love is a precious gift if given to the right person.”

What I liked:

The plot!!! This story is really interesting! I just couldn’t put it down…I needed to know more and more. The main reason why it is so good is because of the characters. Micah and Ella are simply awesome. I had so much fun reading their story. As I mentioned in the beginning, this is one of the hottest books I have ever read so it goes without saying that the chemistry between them is unbelievable.

description

Despite the fact Ella and Micah are great; there was no depth to their characters. I needed a bit more information about them. After finishing the book I still felt like I don’t know Ella at all. Furthermore, I couldn’t get into the story in the beginning. It starts really slow but after few chapters it picks up and I started to really like it. I am mentioning this so you can be prepared: If you decide to read this book just be patient…it will become really good after the first few chapters.

A vivid and compelling novel about a woman who becomes entangled in an affair with Edgar Allan Poe—at the same time she becomes the unwilling confidante of his much-younger wife.

It is 1845, and Frances Osgood is desperately trying to make a living as a writer in New York; not an easy task for a woman—especially one with two children and a philandering portrait painter as her husband. As Frances tries to sell her work, she finds that editors are only interested in writing similar to that of the new renegade literary sensation Edgar Allan Poe, whose poem, “The Raven” has struck a public nerve.

She meets the handsome and mysterious Poe at a literary party, and the two have an immediate connection. Poe wants Frances to meet with his wife since she claims to be an admirer of her poems, and Frances is curious to see the woman whom Edgar married.

As Frances spends more and more time with the intriguing couple, her intense attraction for Edgar brings her into dangerous territory. And Mrs. Poe, who acts like an innocent child, is actually more manipulative and threatening than she appears. As Frances and Edgar’s passionate affair escalates, Frances must decide whether she can walk away before it’s too late...

Set amidst the fascinating world of New York’s literati, this smart and sexy novel offers a unique view into the life of one of history’s most unforgettable literary figures

I am inexplicably drawn to Edgar Allan Poe. I don’t understand most of his poems, but find myself reading them all the same in an attempt to understand. My absolute favorite work of his is not a poem at all though – it is The Tell Tale Heart. This book was very much like a longer version of that tale, only instead of murder there are secrets and lies.

I have never been in a similar situation to the tell tale heart, however I can see it in my minds eye as if I am there. The mind is a very interesting thing. It can take us down dark roads we didn’t know we wanted to go down until we were already there breathless to turn back, helpless to do anything but press on. Reading this book was exactly like that. It was dark and scary, exciting and intriguing.

It was very interesting to me to see into the world as it may have been in the late 1800′s / gaslight era and how different, yet strangely similar, society reacted to adultery. The desperation to be viewed as equal to a man in every way by women yet knowing it was not possible (at the time) was palpable. I am constantly reminded through various means how lucky I am to be a woman in this day and age, although I yearn to be able to live in a much older time period. The saying is true then as it is now, and will be in the future: We always want what we don’t have. The hard part of life is finding peace with what you have because if you have ever been so lucky as to get what you want you too may know that in time the want gets tarnished and the need grows dim. Not that I do not believe that happiness exists or that there can be a love between husband and wife the endures. On the contrary, I very much hope that glimmering dream is a possibility. The problem for me is that the most romantic love stories I have ever read are steeped in pain, longing, regret, and tragedy. Any happiness in those stories is always short lived, but much like a star it burns bright when it can and then must fade out of existence. If only we lived as long as stars then our histories brief moments of pure bliss could span centuries. Alas, we are mere mortals and our time here is brief, our happiest times even more brief.

Would that I could be wooed by a simple tale of love that lasts and has no issues, but my twisted mind finds that too simple and improbable. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, life is messy and so is love. Thankfully divorce does not hold quite as much negative stigma in this day and age as it did when this story was set. I can’t imagine being forced to endure a loveless marriage simply to “keep up appearances.”

Well done Lynn Cullen, if I had a hat to tip I would.

Lucy Aimes has always been practical. But try as she might, she can’t come up with a logical explanation for the recurring dreams that have always haunted her. Dark dreams. Dreams of a long-ago place filled with people she shouldn’t know…but does.

When her family moves to a New Orleans plantation, Lucy’s dreams become more intense, and her search for answers draws her reluctantly into the old city’s world of Voodoo and mysticism. There, Lucy finds Alex, a mysterious boy who behaves as if they’ve known each other forever. Lucy knows Alex is hiding something, and her rational side doesn’t want to be drawn to him. But she is.

As she tries to uncover Alex’s secrets, a killer strikes close to home, and Lucy finds herself ensnared in a century-old vendetta. With the lives of everyone she loves in danger, Lucy will have to unravel the mystery of her dreams before it all comes to a deadly finish.

Have you ever watched one of those shows that just try to tick you off for no reason? It’s the ones were nothing good EVER happens and by the slim chance something good does happened it’s short lived and followed by something ten times worse.

Examples.

Plot: You escaped your abusive ex.

Yay_Kurt_Chris

Twist: You have cancer and it’s to late your going to die.

Really-Animated-GIF

You finally tell the girl you’ve loved her since 5th grade and she loves you too.

tumblr_inline_mgduus0eWg1rb3az8_large

Twist: The Conversation happened over the phone and on the way to meet each other one of them get hit by a car or bus. OR you just happen to be in one of the World Trade Center Towers….(Still pissed “Remember Me.” Still pissed).

82938-Taylor-Lautner-REALLY-gif-ULq3

What is this underlying message?

“Fuck you readers there is no such this as a happy ending get over it.”

Now I get it. Shakespeare made this popular with Romeo and Juliet. And I also understand that sometimes books don’t always end off happily. That’s okay.

What I don’t want to read is shit storm after shit storm being dripped on my head! It’s like reading the Jungle all over again. Half way through I just wanted to say

tumblr_mmwoyyLtAa1qd9gfxo1_500

Because it did. It burned my heart and eyes from reading.

Murder and Voodoo…That was what this story was about however the ending just ruined the whole damn story.

Basically Lucy Aimes is a native from Chicago who has to leave with her family to Louisiana right before her senior year. However if she actually gives the move a try her family is willing to let her go back to Chicago after the summer is up.

Ever since she was young she has had visions of a couple. However it is only when she finally moves to Louisiana do those dreams become clearer. She learns about Armantine and Alex from 1851, the couple in her dreams. However things change when she actually sees Alex one night.

WHAT HAPPENED?

This could have been amazing had it not been for,

1. The White Washing.

…….This is the south and yet I felt like this story had taken place on a planation in Maine. Seriously though? This is just getting annoying.

2. I’m not sure what the hell was happening but it was not voodoo.

3. Lucy.

……..I just wanted to shot her and put her out of her misery. Her past sucked. Her present sucked. It’s like she’s being punished for something.

4. After years of trying to be together guess what…they still can’t be. So what was the point?

All in all Sweet Unrest is the prefect title because once I was done that is all I felt.

The tribe exchanges gunfire with enemy gangs, escapes cults and militias, braves the wilds of the subway and Central Park…and discovers truths they could never have imagined.

Admit it you saw the cover and you got excited. It’s okay, so did I. In fact when I saw the cover I KNEW I had to read this one. Lately I’ve been noticing that that a post world society, aka a post apocalyptic world, has become in vogue. Same say it’s due to the Hunger Games and Divergent. However, there has always been books about this. One of my favorites being Atlas Shrugged.

181yw1fivqxnujpg

In fact there are dozens of TV shows on this too. (I’ve spent like the last week binge watching. I will post reviews soon.)

My point being that with such a growing market for post apocalyptic it’s hard for an author to stand out. In order to draw us in then authors have to try new tricks. Some work…and SOME DON’T. The Young World sadly falls into the second pile. Which again sucks because look at that cover!

What did the author do differently but didn’t work?

Well she made her narrators aware that they were narrating and not in the Nick Carraway Great Gatsby sort of way. I’m not sure how to describe it.

You know how in House of Cards the Main Character turns to the camera and starts talking to us. It’s actually one of the things I very much like about the show. However in this book it just comes of weird. I can’t click with any of the Character because it feels like they are in my face all the damn time!

Jeez.

I don’t want the Characters, who are all supposed to be trying to be trying to make it, wasting time explaining things to me that I could figure out on my own. I don’t want to be hand held through the book just let me read.

Other Issues.

If Donna, said like one more time in here POV I was going to lose it. Really like come on like that so like annoying.

The flashbacks sometimes just blended into the present. I had no clue what was going on and where we were in the story at times.

Also I’m not sure if this would count as insta-love, but Jefferson went from trying to stop this girl W*tch from shooting his head off to making out with her in about 0-second flat.

ok_080713_the-hills-drama

And just in case you weren’t already annoyed by this point. We had to deal with people randomly falling in love and dying an giving unrealistic speeches….and then dying…again.Easton

What started out as a joke-- seduce Coach Wilder--soon became a goal she had to score.

With Olympic tryouts on the horizon, the last thing nineteen-year-old Kinsley Bryant needs to add to her plate is Liam Wilder. He's a professional soccer player, America's favorite bad-boy, and has all the qualities of a skilled panty-dropper.

* A face that makes girls weep - check.
* Abs that can shred Parmesan cheese (the expensive kind) - check.
* Enough confidence to shift the earth's gravitational pull - double check.

Not to mention Liam is strictly off limits. Forbidden. Her coaches have made that perfectly clear. (i.e. "Score with Coach Wilder anywhere other than the field and you'll be cut from the team faster than you can count his tattoos.") But that just makes him all the more enticing...Besides, Kinsley's already counted the visible ones, and she is not one to leave a project unfinished.

Kinsley tries to play the game her way as they navigate through forbidden territory, but Liam is determined to teach her a whole new definition for the term "team bonding." A fun & sexy New Adult Romance (age 17+)

5 ‘I want to marry Liam’ Stars!!!

Okay…usually I prefer bad boys with attitude and many tattoos. But this time I fell in love with a total sweetheart! Liam is simply perfect! I know I should review the book but I seriously would like to review only him!!!! O_o But okay…I’ll try to focus on the story.

“She believed she could so she did .”

Kinsley Bryant has some bad experience with relationships. Her last two boyfriends were total assholes. She wants to forget all about her ‘love problems’…especially when it is her birthday. She goes out with her new teammates from ULA soccer team. She is their new upcoming super star and is working her way toward the Olympics. So…one last night of fun before the beginning of the serious practices.

On this party Kinsley meets one of the biggest soccer stars in the country- the sexy and charming Liam Wilder. She can absolutely NOT resist him (not to mention she is reaaally drunk) and flirts with the hot soccer player. But soon she learns that Liam is the forbidden fruit- he is her new coach. And then the fun begins. There are intrigues, drama, passion…and two people who will have to decide if they are going to risk it all….just to be together.

‘Scoring Wilder’ is a sweet and entertaining story. I really enjoyed reading it! Kinsley is funny, strong, smart and totally lovable character. What I loved about her was that she wasn’t running away from her problems…she was facing them and dealt with everything.

Liam…well…*sigh*!

“There was no trading up. I’d scored Liam Wilder.”

From time to time I just need a hero without any baggage, who is confident, strong, smart, sexy and sweet- a real Prince Charming. Liam is exactly this.

The writing style is perfect which is absolutely normal when the author is R.S. Grey. I am becoming one of her biggest fans!

So…If you want a light and really sweet read + the perfect guy –> this is your book! You will definitely fall in love with Liam! ;)

Blade Runner meets Minority Report in this stunning sci-fi thriller debut.

It is ten years since the attack that reduced Pittsburgh to ashes. Today all that remains is the Archive: an interactive digital record of the city and its people.

John Dominic Blaxton is a survivor, one of the 'lucky ones' who escaped the blast. Crippled by the loss of his wife and unborn daughter, he spends his days immersed in the Archive with the ghosts of yesterday.

It is there he finds the digital record of a body: a woman, lying face down, half buried in mud. Who is she ... and why is someone hacking into the system and deleting the record of her seemingly unremarkable life? This question will drag Dominic from the darkest corners of the past into a deadly and very present nightmare.

Have you ever read a story and felt overwhelmed? There was just to much coming to you at once and you are unable to real follow the plot? I mean you want to but again it’s like the author threw everything at the wall and hoped something stuck. Well that’s how I feel with Tomorrow and Tomorrow.

First of the book cover for this is AMAZING! No seriously it looks like a movie poster….which is funny because I think that’s what the author was trying to do with the book. It felt like I was being forced to read an action movie. If so my main choice for John Dominic Blaxton would have to be none other then Liam Neeson….This would be right up is ally when it comes to movies.

A Grieving widow, obsessed with finding out the truth in a corrupt society. He spends most of his time trying to relive his life with his past wife through virtual reality which gathers up all the data on her.

So why is this not MINDBLOWING in a good way?

Well we got

Terrorism.

Murder.

Porn.

Police.

Grief.

Drugs.

And everything gritty.

Now don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with that. But it felt like a never ending wave of plot bunnies. I wasn’t sure what I was to focus on. Was it the fact that John is grieving? or that the world he is living in is slowly falling apart due to the fact that everyone is basically apart of  some kind of violent reality show.

I think at the main core of the book under all of the complex layers of the plot. John lets go of his wife because of his need to find out who is trying to hide the fact they murdered some woman.

Wait….while reading this my head jumps to the Matrix. That’s what this feels like…it feels like Gotham and the Matrix had a child  creating this….O.o that is soooo dark.

Anyway. It wasn’t bad. I actually enjoyed it alot. It took me much longer to read but In the end I could totally see this being picked up as some new crime drama.

Sophie Grates has never had it easy, but she’s finding her way through life one step and one day at a time. That is, Until Nico comes in and flips her world upside-down. He forces her to see you cannot live life from the outside looking in, and sometimes you have to step out onto the ledge so you can really enjoy the view.

Nico Mayson knew the moment he saw Sophie Grates that she was the one. His whole life, he has been judged by what’s on the outside, so finding a beautiful woman who sees the real him only makes his feelings that much stronger.

Nico knows the kind of man he is, and the things he is capable of, and he will do everything in his power to help Sophie fight her demons so they can have their happily ever after. Everything in life worth having is worth fighting for

‘I <3 Nico’ Stars!

“Don’t use your past as an excuse to not live your life.”

Hot, fun and seriously entertaining read. Also there is an amazing tattooed guy who you will fall in love with after reading the first chapter. So yeah…This is my kind of a book :)If you are looking for an easy (but absolutely perfect) read…then this is it!

Let me starts like this: I really LIKED the heroine but I LOVEDthe hero! :D

The story:

Nico Mayson meets Sophie Grates after he has found her lost phone and contacted her in order to give it back. The moment he sees her something changes…He simply cannot resist her.

“I knew from the moment I saw her that she’s it- my boom.”

Sophie’s life has never been easy. She is still struggling with overcoming her past- the loss of a sibling, a father who preferred the bottle, etc. She is a total loner and is too scared to trust men. But when she meets Nico…she has no idea that this man is different and he is ready to do everything in his power in order to win her.

“I would kill for you, walk through fire for you, and fight your demons if that’s what you needed from me.”

The story is seriously sweet. Nico is a scary guy on the outside but such a sweetheart inside. He is patient and sooooo good to Sophie even though she pushes him away (constantly). She is charming and funny but really insecure. The story is slowly building with a bit of a mystery in it. The writing style is great- keeps your attention during the whole book. There wasn’t a moment when I was bored or wanted just to skip few pages!

I definitely recommend this book! You will LOVE Nico ;)

Kendall and Kylie Jenner, stars on the hit reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, present their debut novel—a thrilling dystopian story about two super-powered girls who embark on a journey together. Two cities… Two girls… A shared destiny…In a world of the far future, the great city of Indra has two faces: a beautiful paradise floating high in the sky, and a nightmare world of poverty carved into tunnels beneath the surface of the earth. Kendall and Kylie Jenner, the youngest sisters in the Kardashian dynasty, have written a gripping tale of air, fire, and a bond of blood.

My Open Letter

Dear Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and the whole fame hungry family.

When I read that you were writing a book my very first thought was not to eye roll. I did not wish you unwell. In fact I must say I was kind of proud. I thought “finally someone in this family is trying to do something other then drink and take pretty pictures with people who actually have careers.” I stupidity believed that for once you people would use the fame you have to do something with your lives. There are people out there with twice the talent and even more self-respect and yet you are the ones living it up because your sister had sex on camera. Your fans will claim I’m just jealous…and to that I just say.

YSkQd

I get it. It is so easy to hate on you people. However, for me to hate I would have to care. The only reason why I even bothered is because of the fact you decided to step into my arena….my happy place.

And if to pour salt on my wounds I had to see this tomfuckery.

kendall-worst-reader-flubSo I asked myself, how can one who can’t read write? I mean you can’t have one without the other…. Nevermind we live in a world were you can be famous for doing NOTHING.

Again I allowed my own foolishness to take hold and simply believed that you were able to get a tutor; learning the the art of reading and writing over night. So in love with this long lost art called “reading” you were inspired to write a book yourself.

I read the summary and was so surprised because….dare I say it but it sounded good!

I found the first chapter online and once again I was surprised.

Not bad.

I mean it wasn’t the best thing I had ever read….not even close. But I wasn’t expecting that. The first chapter was good enough that I wanted to read the next one.

I mean I even had a favorite quote of the chapter

“I want to rip off my sashes and shriek like a hellion. I want to roll in the grass and soil my spotless white frock. Nothing is more pointless than a white gown. It’s like telling the world you are incapable of interaction.”

But then I read further down and realized you did not write this. You did not write single word. You once again had to prove all of us right by hiring a Ghostwriter.

Now a lot of you maybe saying Easton, come on, you should have seen this coming celebrities use ghostwriters all the time. YOU ARE RIGHT! Celebrities do it but they do it because they are busy! They have other things going on in their lives and 9 times out of 10 the book is about them!

What does this girl do other then model and butcher peoples names on stage? If you are going to blast all over social media that you are writing a book then you sure as hell better be writing a bloody book!

Kendall there is a difference between writing a check for someone to write and you siting down to do it yourself. I know it maybe hard to believe. But money can not buy you people everything.

I mean you all have been trying to buy our respect for years but that’s not going to happen. You almost had me with this book…almost.

1 star for that cover and who ever made it.

1 star for the ghostwriter.

Right now, you’re probably asking yourself two things:
Who am I?
And, what the hell are you doing here?

Let’s start with the most obvious question, shall we?

You’re here, ladies, because you can’t f*ck.

Oh, stop it. Don’t cringe. No one under the age of 80 clutches their pearls.
You might as well get used to it, because for the next six weeks, you’re going to hear that word a lot. And you’re going to say it a lot.
Go ahead, try it out on your tongue.
F*ck. F***ck.

Ok, good. Now where were we?

If you enrolled yourself in this program then you are wholly aware that you’re a lousy lay. Good for you. Admitting it is half the battle.

For those of you that have been sent here by your husband or significant other, dry your tears and get over it. You’ve been given a gift, ladies. The gift of mind-blowing, wall-climbing, multiple-orgasm-inducing sex. You have the opportunity to f*ck like a porn star. And I guarantee, you will when I’m done with you.

And who am I?

Well, for the next six weeks, I will be your lover, your teacher, your best friend, and your worst enemy. Your every-f*cking-thing. I’m the one who is going to save your relationship and your sex life.

I am Justice Drake.
And I turn housewives into whores.

Now…who’s first?

I would like to start of by saying I brought this upon myself. I, like you mostly likely did, saw that cover, and read that blurb.

What was worse was the fact that as I read the blurb I kept thinking of the guy on the cover. I was so ready for this book. I couldn’t find it on netgallery so I waited like a damn hawk for it to come. When it did I put down everything else to read it.

15% into it.

And then I got to this part

“She’s an angel. My angel with a halo of fire.
Against the bare walls and sparse furnishings, she looks out of place. A woman like her should be surrounded by beauty, immersed in all things soft and gentle.”

WHAT HAPPENED?
I repeat what happened to my hot sexy story? What happen to the steam, the alpha?

All of sudden my dark and sexy book boyfriend became a whipped bitch who couldn’t come up with any other nickname but angel every other page.

I picked this up because I wanted to read about a hot alpha and his sex school not because I wanted to be dragged into another love story! Why do you authors do this to me?

One and a half Star for the first part of the story.

One star for the cover and blurb.

Other then that this book was a total let down.

From the New York Times bestselling author of Into the Deep LIVE YOUNG. LIVE HARD. LOVE DEEP. Charley and Jake’s story concludes in Out of the Shallows… Somehow, after everything they’ve been through, Jake Caplin and Charley Redford made their way back to one another. But finding each other and staying together are two completely different things. When Charley’s world is flipped upside down, she begins to question the choices and decisions she’s made since her arrival in Edinburgh, and in an effort to grip onto what she holds most dear she believes she must sacrifice her love for Jake. Returning to the States for her senior year, Charley struggles to find peace and happiness. While everyone else seems to be finding themselves in college, Charley is terrified that, along with almost everything else that’s important to her, she’s lost herself. While friends and family deal with their own tumultuous lives, there is one person resolved to uncover the reason behind Charley’s sudden defection and unhappiness. Refusing to give up without a fight, Jake believes he is the only one who can truly understand what Charley is going through, and this time he’s determined to prove he’s there for her no matter what obstacles are thrown in their way. However, as Charley strives through the biggest personal journey of her life thus far, there is no guarantee that the woman she is becoming will still need Jake as much as the girl she once was did…

Unfortunately this was a major disappointment. BUT I was prepared for it because the ending of book one didn’t suggest room for development of the story. Basically this book is almost the same as the previous one. The conversations, the situations, the drama- all the same (or similar). I even don’t think the ending was satisfying…I definitely needed a little more.

I loved Charley in the first book but I can’t say I continued to like her in this one. She wasn’t the strong and passionate girl any more. Yes, this time she is struggling with guilt but it’s like she is a totally different heroine.

The story: Charley and Jake aren’t together in the begging of the book. Slowly we learn why. But Jake is not going to give up on her despite the fact he pushes him away constantly. Beck and Claudia continue with their pretending to don’t want to be together and Lowe is still awesome as always.

“You make me feel like I can be anyone , do anything… but you also have the ability to make me feel weak. You have the ability to crush me like no one else can.”

Overall the story is sweet but maybe I shouldn’t have read book 2.
